Christmas is only a few days away! Time for present wrapping, last minute shopping, traveling to see friends and family, and BAKING COOKIES! Christmas cookies can be so tempting as those cute little Santa Clause and reindeer shaped cookies look to die for : ) Many people have a tradition of baking holiday cookies with their parents, siblings, kids, or significant other. Now I’m not saying not to do that! As it is a special time of the year. But you can always make a few clean and healthy cookie recipes as well! I decided to healthy chocolate chip oatmeal cookies! Bananas and dark chocolate are two of my favorite things that seem to go well together! The best part is these are GUILT FREE and are made of only 7 natural ingredients!
For the 21 Day Fix 2 cookies is a replacement yellow!
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups of old fashioned oats
- 1/3 cup organic apple sauce
- 3 Tbsp Milk (skim, soy, or almond)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combines all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until you reach the consistency of cookie dough (I recommend mixing all ingredients besides the chocolate chips and adding those in last)
Form in little balls and place on a greased (I used olive oil spray) cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes
This recipe makes about 24 cookies.
