Portion Control and eating clean was always something I struggled with. I thought I was eating healthy by buying everything ‘low fat’ or ‘non fat’. I also had no idea what the proper serving size of these so thought’healthy foods’ were. I would eat half a bag of baked chips and think it was okay because they were low fat and baked! I would wonder why I wasn’t seeing results after working out for over an hour a day what I thought was healthy eating!
It is TRUE that your results are 70-80% nutrition, so you literally can’t “outrun a bad diet”. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the Beachbody Fitness and Nutrition programs that I learned that I neeed to practice portion control and truly clean eating combined with the RIGHT kind of exercise to see the best results. Those colored containers really help! Embracing clean eating with the proper portion control and exercise has the power to quickly change your life!
I’ve learned to think of FOOD AS FUEL. I learned what I really needed was a portion control eating plan. Getting there wasn’t easy at first, and I know I probably would have given up had it not been for the motivation and support of my challenge group!
I fall under the category of those who find that if you add exercise while changing your nutrition, you are likely to work harder in the kitchen because you don’t want to undo your exercise efforts by grabbing an unhealthy snack!
I have learned so much since I began eating clean and exercising right. When you have a workout you enjoy, it can be the most one of the most empowering elements of your day!
